As an Ai Business Strategist with a heart for teaching women, imagine how excited I am to be teaching Ai to women in some of the lowest incomes in the world through https://ugouniversity.org/

U-Go University’s Mission to Transform Lives

U-Go University is a beacon of hope for ambitious young women in low-income countries, driven by the powerful vision that “talent is universal, but opportunity is not.” Founded by John Wood, the visionary behind Room to Read. U-Go is dedicated to breaking the glass ceiling of higher education for women in nine countries, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Vietnam. By providing financial scholarships funded by individuals and corporations in high-income countries, U-Go enables these women to pursue university degrees, fostering not only personal empowerment but also profound societal impact.

Facts on UGo University

In just over two and a half years, U-Go has expanded its reach, projected to support 6,900 young women with long-term scholarships across its network of 15 world-class partner organizations. These scholarships cover tuition and related expenses, removing financial barriers that often prevent talented women from accessing higher education. U-Go’s holistic approach goes beyond funding, offering mentorship, career development, and life skills training to ensure scholars thrive academically and professionally. This comprehensive support equips women to secure better employment or entrepreneurial opportunities, invest in their families, have healthier children, gain higher status in their communities, and contribute to society through meaningful work. The ripple effect is staggering: educating women at scale boosts family well-being, strengthens communities, and drives national economic growth by increasing future GDP.

U-Go’s theory of change is clear: by providing motivated, economically disadvantaged young women with access to higher education, the organization unlocks their potential to create better lives for themselves and their families. Stories like that of Jennifer Santiago from the Philippines, who overcame the loss of her parents to pursue a degree in education with dreams of becoming a science teacher, or Neha Shetty, who endured a three-hour daily walk to afford her engineering studies in AI and cybersecurity, illustrate the transformative power of U-Go’s scholarships. These women are not just students; they are future leaders, breaking cycles of poverty and inspiring others.

A New Frontier: AI Education to Amplify Impact

U-Go is now taking its mission to new heights with an innovative AI education program, spearheaded by John Wood, Stuart Kerr, and Martina Lauchengco. This cutting-edge initiative aims to equip scholars with AI skills, a field with immense potential to increase their lifetime earnings by up to 40%. By learning AI, these women can access high-demand careers in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation, further amplifying their ability to uplift their families and communities. Nine Ai specialists and trainers will bring expertise and passion to this program, ensuring it empowers scholars to thrive in a digital world.

My Journey with U-Go: Teaching AI to Change Lives

I am beyond excited to announce that I have joined U-Go University as one of those nine new instructors teaching Artificial Intelligence to its scholars. As a certified AI strategist, trainer. and women’s mentor with over 30 years of experience empowering women, I am honored to contribute to U-Go’s mission. Teaching AI to these remarkable young women allows me to help them harness technology to solve problems, build careers, and lead with confidence. This role aligns perfectly with my passion for creating spaces where women feel valued and inspired, a journey that began in my North Carolina tea room and continues on my Tennessee farm, where I’ve seen firsthand the power of education to transform lives. Joining U-Go feels like a full-circle moment, blending my love for teaching with my commitment to empowering women globally.

A Call to Action: Invest in a Woman’s Future

You can be part of this transformative mission too. Every donation, big or small, helps reach the $800 needed to fund one year of university for a U-Go scholar, covering tuition and essential support services that pave the way for her success. This investment not only changes her life but also uplifts her family and community, creating a legacy of opportunity. Visit https://ugouniversity.org/donate to contribute and help make opportunity as universal as talent. Together, we can empower thousands of young women to break barriers, master AI, and build brighter futures.
